What is Golposutra?
Golposutra is a Bengali t-shirt brand based in Kolkata, founded in 2023. We print original, hand-drawn comic-book artwork inspired by Bengali literature, cinema and street culture onto premium cotton t-shirts, hoodies and statement wear, and ship across India.
What makes Golposutra different from other Bengali t-shirt brands?
Every print is drawn in-house in a caricature, comic-panel style rather than licensed or stock art, and the typography is set in both Bangla and English so a joke or film dialogue reads either way. Pieces are printed on 180 GSM combed cotton and packed by hand in our Kolkata studio.
What kind of designs do you print?
Comic-book style illustrations drawn around Bengali culture: writers and poets such as Rabindranath Tagore and Sukumar Ray, scenes from old Calcutta, trams and College Street, and lines of dialogue from Bengali cinema. Designs are grouped into collections, and limited-edition drops are printed once and clearly marked.
What fabric are your t-shirts and hoodies made from?
T-shirts are 100% premium combed cotton at 180 GSM. Hoodies are a fleece-lined 80% cotton / 20% polyester blend built for Kolkata winters. Statement pieces use a heavier 220 GSM cotton canvas. Prints are applied with water-based inks and heat-cured.
What sizes do you offer and how do I pick the right one?
Sizes XS to XXL in a regular unisex fit. Our size guide lists garment measurements in inches — chest 36" at XS up to 46" at XXL — so the reliable method is to measure a t-shirt you already like flat and match the closest row. Between two sizes, size up for an oversized look.
How much does shipping cost and how long does delivery take?
Shipping is free on orders above ₹1,500 and a flat ₹99 below that. Orders leave our Kolkata studio within 2–4 business days and usually reach addresses across India in 5–8 business days after dispatch.
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet — checkout currently accepts Indian delivery addresses only. If you are ordering from abroad for delivery to an Indian address, that works normally. Email us if you would like to be told when international shipping opens.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are handled by Razorpay, so you can pay by UPI, credit or debit card, net banking or supported wallets. All orders are prepaid; we do not offer cash on delivery. Your card and UPI details go straight to Razorpay and are never stored by us.
What is your return and exchange policy?
Returns and size exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery, on items that are unworn, unwashed and still have their tags and original packaging. Refunds reach your original payment method 5–7 business days after we inspect the return. Limited-edition and made-to-order pieces may be final sale, which is stated on the product page.
Will the print fade, crack or peel?
We use water-based inks and a heat-curing process that bonds the ink to the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, so prints stay soft and hold their colour through repeated washing. Washing cold and inside out makes the biggest difference to how long a print looks new.
How should I wash and care for a Golposutra garment?
Machine wash cold with similar colours, turned inside out. No bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry in shade. Iron on low heat and never directly over the printed area.
Do you take custom or bulk orders?
Yes — we take custom and bulk orders for events, colleges, corporates and institutions, from a minimum of 25 pieces. Email hello@golposutra.com with your artwork or brief, quantities and sizes for a quote.
How do I track my order?
Use the Track Order page with the order number from your confirmation email (format GS-YYYYMMDD-NNN) and the email address or phone number used at checkout. It shows payment, dispatch, courier tracking number and estimated delivery. Signed-in customers can also see every order in their account.
Where are you based? Can I visit?
Our studio is at 12A, Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata — 700071, West Bengal, open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM IST. Message us before dropping in so someone is there to show you the current prints.
